Seven verbs. A class can carry saying them. A headteacher can carry reading them.

Guard starts with a preview, because a code is not a criminal code with horror. It is seven short rules you already know from the course. A question not a task. A book as referee. No data. No key. A fake bin. A hand not a printer. We can say how. Horror (“AI will eat you, the internet is hell”) switches children off. A congress (“in today’s world it is key…”) nobody reads. Seven acts an eye reads in a second. You know that from a campaign. A code is a campaign that binds. The preview says: from here you stack a shared wall, not a personal dump. A parent pays, because this is already school culture, not only a notebook. Seven is a ceiling. Twelve nobody keeps. Three is too little for honour. Seven sits.

A headteacher would read it in a minute. A neighbour’s print with paragraphs and a 2019 study would hang and lie. A pledge, not a spook. A ceiling of seven.

A pledge: we will do it this way. A spook: you will be afraid. Guard is not a safety course with a helpline — you know that elsewhere. Here it is honour of work with AI. Seven takes from the whole course what can hang. What cannot hang (a personal diagnosis, passwords) does not belong in a code. A code is not a planner. It is not a report. It is a shared track. A dump copier again no: a class may have a shared prompt for a storm of rules, then a pick by voting on a verb, not on a print from one window. A teacher is a referee of what may hang. A headteacher will see later. Today seven you can carry.

Ask, do not write finished homework.
Check a date, a name, a number in a book.
Do not send a photo, marks, an address, passwords.
A coach with no key. You count.
A citation only seen. AI is not a source.

Horror you cross out: “Who uses AI will end badly.” A congress: “In today’s world ethics is key.”

Do not hang horror so it “looks strict”. Strictness is a verb. Horror is a show of fear. Children walk around it.

Why this right now

You are in the course Ask with Martin, level Guard. You work in a chatbot (ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude) — same game, different brand. No code. A parent or the school creates the account. A child’s email does not belong here.

This is not the Inventor level. There you build a chatbot on your own website. Here you are a user: a question, a check, a citation.

You will know this lesson by one sentence: A code is seven verbs on a wall. Not horror and not a congress. When you can say it to a parent or a teacher, you have got the core. The rest is practice, not magic.
