A maker gathers ideas and signs. It is not a printer of finished work to hand in.

A storm of ideas. Not a storm of finished posters to sign with someone else’s name.

Maker starts with a preview, because from here it is tempting to let the window “make a pretty poster” and you only print it for school. That is an author again. Here you take ideas: five headings, three images to describe (not as a photo-proof), a slogan, what to cross out. Then you draw, cut, stack — or in a school tool by the teacher. A model is a storm. You are a setter and a detective. Detective: no made-up on a poster as a fact. Helper: a skeleton, your sentences. The preview says: creativity does not excuse theft. Pretty is not enough. Honest pretty is the goal. Code and your own chatbot are Inventor. Even “just a small script” does not belong here.

Ema writes “make a poster about the Vltava for school”. She gets a finished layout with a fake quote and an AI photo of Charles IV. Adam deletes. They ask: “5 slogan ideas, 5 slide headings, no finished poster, no quotes with no book, no faces.” Ema picks a slogan, draws by hand. A teacher sees a hand. A neighbour prints the output. A teacher sees a model and a fake. The preview hurts on the print. Ema writes: a storm ≠ a printer. It holds from Maker’s first minute.

A storm, a pick, a hand, a sign

A storm: more ideas than you will use. A pick: you cross out water and a fake. A hand: cut, drawing, school PowerPoint in your words. A sign: an illustration from AI only with a caption, when a licence comes. Today maybe still with no image. Headings are enough. A presentation of five slides is tomorrow. Today one poster surface in the head: one message, not an encyclopaedia. An encyclopaedia on a poster is water. Water from a model on a class wall shouts a foreign tone. A short message in your hand shouts you. Maker wants you on the wall, not a company.

A storm order.

“I am in Year 6. Topic: how to ask AI honestly. Suggest 8 slogans of max 6 words. No finished poster. No studies. No faces. I will cross out.”

Then you: pick 1. Draw. A fact source, when there is a fact, from a textbook or from a course cheat sheet — not from a made-up professor.

Wrong: “A PDF poster, printable, with a photo and quotes.”

Do not print the first output and write your name under it as the only author when the window made both text and image. That is a signature under someone else’s work.

Why this right now

You are in the course Ask with Martin, level Maker. You work in a chatbot (ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude) — same game, different brand. No code. A parent or the school creates the account. A child’s email does not belong here.

This is not the Inventor level. There you build a chatbot on your own website. Here you are a user: a question, a check, a citation.

You will know this lesson by one sentence: A storm of ideas yes. A printer of a finished poster for your signature no. When you can say it to a parent or a teacher, you have got the core. The rest is practice, not magic.

Without a preview Maker would be a poster shop. With a preview you know a hand stays. Tomorrow five slides with the same verb.

A storm. A pick. A drawing or paper scissors. No print of the first PDF from chat. A fact, when there is one, with a finger.

M1 eight slogans, max 6 words, topic honest asking or school work. Bans from the example.
Cross out a fake and water. Pick one. Say why that one.
Draw / cut out. Text by hand. A name as author of the drawing — and a note that AI helped with slogans, in the author-note lesson; today at least out loud to a parent.
