A vault is the home password hub
A family password vault is one app or service where a parent (with you) saves passwords for school, games, email. You know the vault lock — the main password or the way you get to it with a parent. The vault remembers long sentences. You remember less.
Without a vault people write passwords on scraps, into notes called “passwords”, into chat “so we do not forget”. All wrong. A vault is not a sticker on the monitor.
Examples (a parent picks): Bitwarden, 1Kata sandi, iCloud Keychain, Google Kata sandi Manager with a family account, school Workspace — what you use at home.
You do not send the main vault password. It is not a password for a game. It is the key to the list of keys. A parent and you know it — at the table, not in Discord.
What belongs in the vault
- a school account (a sentence from a parent)
- game accounts
- Wi‑Fi at home — if a parent wants
- 2FA backup codes
- a PIN from parent banking no — that is only a parent
You do not write friends’ passwords into the vault. Only yours and family ones a parent approves.
When school changes the password for you, a parent updates it in the vault after the change. They delete the old password in the vault. One truth.
What does not belong in the vault
- a photo of a scrap in the gallery
- a shared document “family passwords” in class
- a message “the password is …” to yourself in WhatsApp
- the same password copied into five notes
The audit from Persiapan: did you find a note called “passwords”? Today you move it into the vault or delete it — with a parent.
How to set up a vault — with a parent
A parent picks the service. The main vault password = a long sentence at the table. First record: school. Second: a game. Different sentences. Delete scraps called “passwords”. You tell a friend: passwords are in the vault, not in chat.
How it fits the projects
🏠 Family rules. Kata sandis in the vault, not on paper on the desk.
📱 Kata sandi audit — the next lesson. Phone audit — a note called “passwords” gone.
Now you 💪
With a parent, set up a vault or open an existing one. Add two records: school + one game. Delete one old note with a password, if it exists.
-
The vault works. Two records inside.
-
No password in chat, a notebook, a photo of a scrap.
-
Into the rules: The vault = the only place for passwords at home.
Check: The vault exists. Sekolah and a game separately. Paper “passwords” gone. The main vault password not in chat.
What to take from this lesson
- A vault = one lock, many passwords.
- A parent + you. Not the whole class.
- An update after a password change.
- A note called “passwords” in the phone gone.
