Location is not always yes
Location says where the phone is. A map, weather in the city, Find My — yes. A game that does not need a map, a torch, a face filter — not always.
Shadow taught permissions. Guard reminds when to switch off:
- a photo of the house or school — switch off GPS on the camera
- games — “while using”, not “always”
- social networks — they often do not need location at all
- Find My — leave it on for the phone (a loss), not for every app
iPhone: Settings → 개인정보 → Location Services. For each app Never / While Using / Always. “Always” = even at night in a pocket. That is too much for most games.
A quick location audit

Open the list of apps with location. How many have “Always”? For each “Always” ask: does it need a map at night too?

Camera: While Using or Never for ordinary photos.

Into the phone audit: Location — X apps “always” → lowered to “while using”. Camera — [setting].
Leave location on Find My for the phone — that is Guard, not Shadow paranoia.
What to say at home
To a parent:
“I will go through apps with location ‘always’. We will lower where it makes sense. We will leave Find My.”
Into family rules: Location on games and photos — not always, when it does not have to.
A classmate’s location “where are they now” without their knowing — tracking. Not safety. This is your phone.

Lower “Always” on one app that does not need a map. Test that it works.
