Hurry is a tactic, not facts
Pressure says: do not decide, tap. Only today. The last one. Everyone has it. You will be awkward. A shopper knows the trick. They can leave. Leaving is not a loss. It is a balance and value.
In a game the same: a timer, limited, a lobby that laughs. The same hurry. The same no.
A seller: “This will run out, mum won’t get it then.” Matyáš reaches. Sofie: “Tomorrow.” Tomorrow it is there. Sometimes it is not. Even then there is an envelope. Matyáš would have bought yesterday from guilt.
A lobby: “Who has no pass, don’t come.” Sofie goes. It is not a betrayal. She is Shopper.
A sentence: “I’ll think until tomorrow.” When tomorrow does not work (food for the journey), decide by the envelope, not by shouting. Food for the journey is must. A skin is a want with hurry.
Time as a weapon
A true end exists (the till is closing, a bus). A fake end is a sign. Tell them apart. A bus will not wait. A limited skin will wait in another shape, or your no will wait.
A friend can pressure with no shop. “Take it, or you are a zero.” That is a ranking. An answer from 准备课: I don’t do that. Leaving.
A discount + hurry + free postage = a cocktail. Take it apart into numbers from past lessons. The eyes drink the cocktail. The head drinks in order.
A parent at big hurry. You do not approve a card because “it will run out”. The lock holds.
Sofie wants to shorten it to “it will be fine somehow”. Matyáš asks what the lesson Pressure in a shop is for, when a table can do a sum. A sum does not count respect, a PIN, a trap or an envelope. The core is: Hurry is a tactic. Leaving is a decision, not a loss.
Adults pay the rent. The card, the account and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Pocket-money numbers do not belong on the network. If you break these rules in the lesson “Pressure in a shop”, you know a word, not the course.
A sign until midnight, 50% off 400 on a thing Sofie did not want in the morning. Step 3 from percents = no. The timer is pointless.
A journey: the last baguette, a trip, a must envelope. Sofie takes it. That is not pressure. That is must in time. 姓名 the difference.
Practice numbers, not a bank statement. Sofie has 80 Kč in the want envelope. Matyáš pushes a step this lesson can name. When Sofie uses the core, either it waits for a parent, or it fits the envelope. If not, anger and a hole are left — proof of pressure, not that the lesson is pointless.
Pressure “buy, or I’ll send your photo” / blackmail — not a shop. An adult, school, safety. Money is an excuse.
Why this right now
You are in the course Money with Martin, level Shopper. You can write numbers in a notebook or a table, but the topic is money and decisions, not Excel formulas. The account, the card and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Do not put pocket-money numbers on the network.
This is not the Sheets with Martin course. A table may help, but the mark of success is a decision, not SUM.
You will know this lesson by one sentence: Hurry is a tactic. Leaving is a decision, not a loss. When you can say it to a parent or a teacher, you have the core. The rest is practice, not magic.
A shopping list with a limit is a defence against hurry. First spot pressure. Then paper that holds at the till.
If you skip this, the next lesson in level Shopper will stand on fog. A sentence until tomorrow exists. Hurry is no longer proof that you must. It is not a test for marks. It is a safety net, so “Pressure in a shop” is not only a heading.
Four things you will build from the course
The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only what this lesson can do.
🪙 Pocket money
A 14-day record: income, spending, balance. What you do not write down is as if you did not spend it — and that is a lie.
Pocket money: Friday hurry at a machine — the want envelope, not a lobby.
🚌 Class trip
A budget, a reserve, a plan B. A shared till has rules.
A trip: a souvenir “the last one” — a till reserve is not for pressure.
🎮 Game shop
V-bucks and a loot box are a purchase. A subscription keeps going.
A game: a pass timer. Tomorrow with a parent, not now from shame.
🧾 Stall / mini-company
Cost, price, profit. Three numbers for the class.
A stall: do not tap “the last cup” with a lie yourselves. Honest hurry (they ran out) yes.
Workshop: a sentence until tomorrow
Practise leaving. It is not rudeness. It is a sentence.
-
Write your sentence: I’ll think / I don’t want / tomorrow with a parent.
-
Two situations: a fake end vs. a bus. The difference in one line.
-
An answer to “you’re a zero without a pass”. With no mockery back.
-
Never a PIN because of hurry.
You count when the sentence can leave in a queue in the head. For practice you do not have to go into a shop to shout. A mouth at home is enough.
Pocket money: Pocket money: Friday hurry at a machine — the want envelope, not a lobby. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
Class trip: A trip: a souvenir “the last one” — a till reserve is not for pressure. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
Game shop: A game: a pass timer. Tomorrow with a parent, not now from shame. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
Stall: A stall: do not tap “the last cup” with a lie yourselves. Honest hurry (they ran out) yes. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
What to tell a parent with no wage and no account number: “Today I went through pressure in a shop — Hurry is a tactic. Leaving is a decision, not a loss.” If they have no time, a slip in the notebook is enough. Stories and class chat are not enough.
Practice: a bus, or a sign?
True time, or a tactic?
-
“Only today” by a skin. What?
-
The last baguette before a train. What?
-
“Take it, or you’re not with us.” What do you say?
-
A discount + midnight + a thing you do not want in the morning. A step?
Now you 💪
Go through three checks. By each one, tick in your head: do I see it, or not?
- I can leave with no shame.
- I tell a bus from a sign.
- Blackmail with a photo is not a discount — it is safety to an adult.
If something is missing, go back to the steps above. It is not a test for marks. It is a safety net, so you go on with certainty, not with a mess.
Check: A sentence until tomorrow exists. Hurry is no longer proof that you must.
What to take from this lesson
- Pressure = hurry, not a fact.
- Leaving is Shopper.
- A lobby is not the till of your envelope.
- You report blackmail, you do not buy.
- 姓名s in the examples (Sofie, Matyáš) are made up. Do not put your number, email or photo here.
- Next lesson: When you can do this, go to the next lesson in the same level.
