Unwritten is not unhappened

The brain erases spending. It keeps income. That is the default. A notebook with no row for juice claims the juice did not happen. The pocket knows it did. Truth is the pocket plus memory, not a wish.

Forgetting is not a crime. Rewriting the balance “so it fits without the juice” is already a lie. The course is not a punishment. The course is looking for a hole.

Nela has 80 in the notebook. In the pocket 40. She says: “Someone took forty from me.” Ondra: “Or you bought two bars and did not want to remember.” Nela remembers. She writes late. She marks “late”. The balance fits. There was no thief. There was fog.

Ondra once added a fake income 40 so the notebook looked good. In a week he did not know what was true. Fake income is a worse hole than an empty row.

A hole has a name

Three ways a notebook lies: 1) spending did not happen on paper, 2) income was written twice, 3) the start was forgotten. Look in that order. Do not start with a theory that they robbed you at school — that can happen too, but juice first.

“Late” is a label. It is not an excuse to invent an amount. When you do not know if the bar was 20 or 25, write an estimate and the word estimate. Better than 0.

A parent may help look. It is not an interrogation. It is two heads. Do not tell the hole amount to the class. A ranking and mockery again.

Repeated holes mean the record is too far from the purchase. Bring it closer: a tick into a parent’s notes right at the machine, in the evening into the notebook. Two steps. Less fog.

Nela wants to shorten it to “it will be fine somehow”. Ondra asks what the lesson I forgot to write it down is for, when a table can do a sum. A sum does not count respect, a PIN, a trap or an envelope. The core is: Unwritten spending happened. A hole is looked for, income is not invented.

Adults pay the rent. The card, the account and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Pocket-money numbers do not belong on the network. If you break these rules in the lesson “I forgot to write it down”, you know a word, not the course.

Ondra: hole 25, add income 25 “I found it”. Now notebook 105, pocket 55. Hole 50. The lie multiplied. That is why fake income must not happen.

Practice numbers, not a bank statement. Nela has 80 Kč in the want envelope. Ondra pushes a step this lesson can name. When Nela uses the core, either it waits for a parent, or it fits the envelope. If not, anger and a hole are left — proof of pressure, not that the lesson is pointless.

Why this right now

The account, the card and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Do not put pocket-money numbers on the network.

This is not the Sheets with Martin course. A table may help, but the mark of success is a decision, not SUM.

A 14-day project with no holes is a dream. With holes marked it is truth. Without this lesson Cashier’s finale would celebrate a pretty notebook full of lies.

Four things you will build from the course

The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only what this lesson can do.

Workshop: find one hole

Count the pocket. Count the notebook. If they match, invent yesterday’s unwritten roll for practice and fix it.

1. Pocket vs. the last balance. Write the difference as a hole, or “it fits”.

2. Remember 24 hours. One candidate for spending. Write it late, or leave “unknown”.

3. Ban: adding income so the hole vanishes.

4. Tell a parent how you look for a hole. Do not ask them to pay the hole as if it were rent.

You count when you can leave an ugly hole. A pretty notebook with no holes after a week of spending is suspicious. Sort suspicion with honesty, not with a rubber.
