What they want to hear (a teacher, a panel)

First who listens and what they should take away. Then a slide. Then speech.

A teacher or a panel wants a sentence, proof and calm. Not your life story and not wow.

Advocate starts at ears. Not at a template. A teacher or a panel — from now we say a commission when it is the same ear that marks — wants to hear that you understood the assignment. They want one sentence what it is about. They want proof that can be seen. They want to know you can carry an objection. They want you to finish in time. They do not want how you did not sleep three nights. They do not want Canva. They do not want wow. You do not live in their head. That is why you ask: what should they repeat when you leave? Write that sentence. That sentence drives slides. The first lesson is free, so it is visible that the course is not theatre. It is care for the ear that gives a mark. A parent or the school holds the account. A child’s email does not belong on a slide. Not even in front of a commission. A child’s data is not proof. Today paper of the ear and a sentence on the title. Tomorrow we give that sentence a name. Today it is enough that someone other than you hears it.

Ema told how she made a presentation for three nights. The commission wanted a sentence. They did not hear a night. Time eaten. She missed proof. Adam said: Without bees there are fewer apples. He showed a chart. He made time. The teacher repeated apples. That is what they wanted to hear. After the lesson Ema wrote their sentence, not her diary. Work on a file is not the content of a defence. A parent from the door repeated apples, not nights. Ema deleted from slides an editor logo and a sentence about how long she worked. Adam left on the title one sentence of a size that went from the back. Share Restricted. They did not put an email on a slide.

💡

Before you open a slide, write on paper: who sits and what they will repeat in one sentence. That sentence belongs on the title. Size from the back.

First the ear, then the screen

On paper: who listens. A teacher, or a panel, or as practice a parent. What they should take away in one sentence. That sentence on the first slide. A size that goes from the back, maybe forty. Contrast. No paragraph. No email. Click Present (F5). Say the sentence to the door. Does a parent repeat? No? Sharpen the verb. Yes? That is the ear. A practice commission today at home. Delete from slides what the ear does not need: a life story, nights, an editor logo, wow. Leave a sentence, proof, time for the end. In PowerPoint the same on the title. Filter: do not stone a commission with a joke about a teacher. The ear marks tone too, not only a number. Tomorrow we give that sentence a name. Today it is enough that it exists and that someone other than you hears it. A parent’s account. No recording on the network.

Wrong: Ema, three nights, a diary of work, she missed proof, the ear read wrong.

Right: Adam, a sentence about apples, a chart, time. The teacher repeated apples.

The content of a defence is what they should remember. Not how you felt at the keyboard. Ask a parent: what should a teacher remember? The answer must be your sentence, not a diary. Cross out from the title everything that is not that one sentence. Delete from slides how long you did it. A parent repeats a sentence, not nights. Title from the back. A diary of work gone. A child’s data on the screen no.

⚠️

Do not stone a teacher or a panel with a joke about them. The filter holds strictest here. The ear marks tone too, not only a figure.

Four things you will build in this course

The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only this:

🎯 A hobby in 5 slides

Five slides about something you like doing. One sentence about what it is. No paragraphs from your notebook.

Hobby: a parent should repeat why you do it, not a list of tools.

📚 A report

Eight slides for school: a start, three proofs, an end. The title on every slide is a sentence, not “Slide 3”.

Report: a teacher should repeat a claim, not an outline of eight titles.

📊 Survey results

A chart from a table (not a screenshot from chat) and under it where the numbers come from.

Survey: from the door they should take a number and what it means, not how you collected ticks.

⚖️ A defence

You say one sentence, show proof, answer “and what if…”. If you do not know, you say I don’t know.

Defence: a practice commission and a sharp one want the same sentence. A diary of nights no.

Paper of the ear and a sentence on the title

First who sits. Then one sentence on the title. Then Present (F5) to the door.

  1. Paper: who listens (a teacher, a panel, a parent). What they will repeat in one sentence. Write that sentence. Without it is important. With a verb.

  2. Open Slides. On the first slide put that sentence. Size from the back. Contrast. No paragraph. No email. In PowerPoint the same.

  3. Present (F5). Say the sentence to the door with no life story. Does a parent repeat? No? Sharpen the verb. Yes? Save the sentence into title notes.

  4. Walk the other slides. Delete nights, Canva, wow, what the ear does not need. Leave space for proof and the end.

  5. A parent’s account. Share Restricted. A child’s data on a slide no. No recording on the network.

Their sentence, not your diary

When a parent repeats how you worked so hard, the ear got the wrong load.

  1. Cross out from the title everything that is not that one sentence to remember.

  2. Ask a parent: what should a teacher remember? The answer must be your sentence.

  3. Delete from slides a sentence about how long you did it.

Now you 💪

  1. I have on paper who listens, and one sentence what they should take away.
  2. That sentence is on the title and can be read from the back.
  3. On a slide there is no child’s email or a diary of nights.

Done when: A practice commission ear (a parent) repeated one sentence. The title carries it. A life story is gone.
