An objection is and what if the opposite holds. An advocate does not hide it.
Every thesis has a hole. When you pretend there is no hole, a classmate finds it. You go silent. The thesis cracks. An advocate says the objection themselves: and what if the odometer lies? Then they answer with proof, or admit a gap. A gap is not a fail. It is honesty. A teacher or a panel values that more than a castle of five memes that will not let an objection speak. Then a question from a desk comes and knocks down what was from paper. Put an objection on a slide, or into the mouth. An answer one sentence plus proof. Calm. Not an attack on an invented enemy. Filter: do not invent an objection that puts a classmate down. Your work, your hole. Time: an objection max a minute. Then the end. A stopwatch holds even when it is interesting. Interesting is padding when it runs over the slot. A parent holds the account. No email on a slide. No recording on the network. Practise at home, not first at the board. An advert with no holes falls. A defence with a hole and an answer stands.
Tereza acted like an objection does not exist. A classmate: and what if there was no rain? She went silent. The thesis cracked. Jonáš said himself: and what if the odometer lies? That is why a source and a second check. The commission nodded. The thesis stronger after an objection, not weaker. That is a defence, not an advert with no holes. A parent tried another objection. Jonáš repeated it, answered with a source. Tereza first went silent, second said and what if herself. Stopwatch: an objection under a minute. Then a jump to the end. They did not put a classmate down. It was their hole.
Say the objection you first. A surprise from a desk hurts less when you already named the hole.
And what if… plus an answer, not a castle of memes
Write one objection to the thesis. On a slide a title Objection and a sentence, under it an answer anchor. Or only into notes. Click Present (F5). Say both calmly. No mockery. A parent tries another objection. Repeat. Answer. You do not know? I don’t know. That is tomorrow. Today a drill of ones you know. In PowerPoint the same. Do not let an objection eat the whole time. Max a minute. Then the end. A stopwatch. Practise at home, not first at the board. A filter of respect even to an objection that hurts your thesis. That is why you practise. An advert with no holes falls. A defence with a hole and an answer stands. A parent’s account. Put an objection on a slide, or into the mouth. An answer one sentence plus proof. Calm. Not an attack on an invented enemy. Do not let an objection eat the whole time. Interesting is padding when it runs over the slot. The end must be left.
Wrong: an objection does not exist, a question from a desk, silence, the thesis gone.
Right: himself and what if, an answer with a source, the thesis stronger.
An admitted gap is honesty. A castle of memes is paper. Write and what if to your own thesis. One sentence. Answer with proof, or admit a gap. Measure if the objection ate more than a minute. Shorten. An admitted gap is honesty. A castle of memes is paper. Say the hole you first. Answer with proof or a gap. Max a minute. Then the end. Do not put a classmate down.
Do not invent an objection that puts a classmate down. Your work, your hole. Not someone else’s shame. The filter holds sharper.
Four things you will build in this course
The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only this:
🎯 A hobby in 5 slides
Five slides about something you like doing. One sentence about what it is. No paragraphs from your notebook.
Hobby: and what if it is only a mood? Answer: how many times a week, not a feeling.
📚 A report
Eight slides for school: a start, three proofs, an end. The title on every slide is a sentence, not “Slide 3”.
Report: and what if the source lies? A second source, or admit a gap.
📊 Survey results
A chart from a table (not a screenshot from chat) and under it where the numbers come from.
Survey: and what if you only asked friends? Say who, how many, a limit.
⚖️ A defence
You say one sentence, show proof, answer “and what if…”. If you do not know, you say I don’t know.
Defence: an objection is part of the project, not decoration at the end if time is left.
One objection on a slide or into the mouth
You name a hole. You answer. Calm. A stopwatch watches a minute.
-
Write one objection to the thesis. In Slides a new slide: Objection, a sentence, under it an answer anchor. Or only 备注s. In PowerPoint the same.
-
Present (F5). Say the objection and the answer calmly. No mockery. No attack.
-
A parent tries another. Repeat the question. Answer. You do not know? I don’t know and go back to the thesis and the proof you have.
-
Stopwatch: an objection max a minute. Then a jump to the end. Do not let interesting eat the slot.
-
Save the original. No email on a slide. No recording on the network. An objection does not put a classmate down.
An advert, or a defence
An advert hides a hole. A defence says it and answers.
-
Write and what if… to your own thesis. One sentence.
-
Answer with proof, or admit a gap.
-
Measure if the objection ate more than a minute. Shorten.
Now you 💪
- I can say one objection to the thesis myself.
- I have an answer, or an honest gap.
- An objection does not eat the end.
Done when: You can say an objection and answer in calm. The thesis after it stands, or has an admitted gap.
What to take from this lesson
- An objection is and what if the opposite holds.
- Say it you first.
- An answer with proof, or a gap.
- Max a minute, then the end.
- Do not put a classmate down. Your hole.
- 姓名s in the examples (Tereza, Jonáš) are made up. Do not put your number, email or photo on a slide.
