Who does what

Before you open the file, everyone knows which slides are theirs and who says the start.

A team with no roles is five people at one mouse.

When everyone edits everything, in the morning the start is missing and on the screen there are three different sentences what it is about. A teacher marks the whole, not who clicked most. The whole holds when roles exist. Roles are not a punishment. They are an agreement so a slide and speech do not fight. Before you open Slides, write on paper: a name, which slides, who speaks the intro and the end. Intro and end one name. Stopwatch one name. 名字s are enough. Kids’ emails do not belong on paper or on a slide. A parent or the school makes the account. A password is not lent so a friend can edit. The first Team lesson is free, so it is visible that the course is not a group chat. It is one file and clear hands. You ban five versions tomorrow. Today names. Today names on paper and a comment on the title. Tomorrow one file. With no names one file is a fight. With names it is a workshop.

Marek said just click it somehow. Three people rewrote the same sentence in three words. At the board they talked over each other. Klára wrote: Sofie title and end, Filip proofs 2 to 4, I the chart, Marek the stopwatch. Everyone knew. The teacher heard one body, not an argument. After the lesson the team had paper in a bag and a comment on the first slide. No emails. A parent saw paper with no emails. Klára opened Share → Restricted and left Editor only to four names. Marek wanted to say the intro too. They crossed him out. One name at the start. Ten seconds Present (F5) was enough for a teacher as a dummy run to hear an agreement, not an apology that roles were not there.

💡

Give intro and end to one person already now. The class cannot carry two starts. The middle may switch later.

A role is an agreement, not a mood

Minimum roles: who watches time, who holds one sentence on the title, who does proofs, who touches the file as last save. More people than slides is a trap: hands tangle. Fewer people: someone has more slides. That is fine when it is written. Paper in three columns. Then one file under a school or parent account. Share → Restricted → Editor only to team members, as the teacher allows. On the title Insert → Comment and paste shortened roles. In PowerPoint Review → New comment. Do not change someone else’s slide in silence. A comment. A rewrite at night is a war. Fair is not that everyone edits everything. Fair is that everyone has a piece they can say. A parent or the school makes the account. A password is not lent. 关闭 extra copies Untitled. They are a seed of five versions. The original on Drive is the team’s truth. Someone else’s slide is not changed in silence. A comment. A silent fix at night is a war.

Wrong: five Editors, nobody knows whose slide 3 is. In the morning the sentence gone. On the screen a meme someone put for mood.

Right: paper of roles, a comment on the title, everyone edits their slides. Someone else’s slide changes only after an agreement.

When you are two, one has more slides. Write that. Do not write that it will somehow split at the board. When you are two, one has more slides. Write that. Do not write that it will somehow split at the board. At the board there is no time to hunt who says the start. That should be on paper.

⚠️

On a list of roles there do not belong emails, phones or addresses. 名字s are enough. An adult or school Workspace handles sharing. A password is not lent to a classmate.

Four things you will build in this course

The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only this:

🎯 A hobby in 5 slides

Five slides about something you like doing. One sentence about what it is. No paragraphs from your notebook.

Hobby: even in a pair say who the title and who the scene.

📚 A report

Eight slides for school: a start, three proofs, an end. The title on every slide is a sentence, not “Slide 3”.

Report: you hand out eight slides by names, not by mood.

📊 Survey results

A chart from a table (not a screenshot from chat) and under it where the numbers come from.

Survey: who the table, who the slide, who speech at the chart.

⚖️ A defence

You say one sentence, show proof, answer “and what if…”. If you do not know, you say I don’t know.

Defence: who one sentence, who proof, who an objection — written.

Paper of roles and a comment on the title

名字s on paper. Then one comment in the file. No emails. No we will somehow do it.

  1. Paper in three columns: a name, which slides, who speaks intro and end. Fill it all. Intro and end one name. Stopwatch one name. Do not write emails. Do not write passwords.

  2. Open one file in Slides under a school or parent account. Share → Restricted → Editor only to team members. On the first slide Insert → Comment and paste roles. In PowerPoint Review → New comment. File name with no emails, maybe Tym-prirodopis-6B.

  3. Everyone opens only their slides and writes the title as a sentence. Leave someone else’s slide. When you see a mistake, a comment, not a silent rewrite.

  4. Click Present (F5) as a dummy run. Say only who does what, ten seconds. The class should hear an agreement, not an apology that roles were not there.

  5. Photo the paper into a parent’s phone, not onto the class network. Paper into a bag. 关闭 extra copies Untitled. Extra copies are a seed of five versions. The original on Drive is the team’s truth.

Chaos, or names

When you cannot say whose slide 3 is, the team has not started yet.

  1. Add a missing name at the intro. Two names at the intro = a mistake. One.

  2. Remove from Editors someone who is not on the team. Share → list of people.

  3. Tell a parent in one sentence what your work on the team is.

Now you 💪

  1. On paper and in a comment it is who intro and end and who which slides.
  2. There are no kids’ emails.
  3. I know which slides I must not rewrite in silence.

Done when: The team has names and work on paper and in a comment. The file is one.
