The close can be a question that props up the sentence, not a quiz of who likes the same thing.

A question at the end has a job. It is not a safety net.

You already have the end as a box. Today you can give it a question.

A question is not “any questions” said into silence. That is manners that often dies.

A Storyteller question is one so the class uses the sentence: “What will you do tomorrow morning with the alarm if the animal sleeps?” Or: “Which maintenance are you missing on your thing?”

The question must be answerable in one sentence. It must not put anyone down. It must not want everyone putting a hand up for a minute.

Silence after a question is fine. It is not a fail. A fail is a question that does not connect to the sentence.

Example: “Any questions?” and silence, because you have no close. Better: “What kind of wake-up will you leave the animal tomorrow?” Even who does not answer out loud takes the sentence away.

Today you write three candidates, leave one action, put it in the notes of the last slide. The wall carries the sentence. The mouth carries the question mark. After the question you count three seconds, then thanks. No quiz on the slide.

Tereza at the end: “Right, that’s all, any questions?” Silence. Awkward silence, because she had nothing that would follow.

Jonáš: “What kind of wake-up will you leave the animal tomorrow?” Someone said “none”. Jonáš: “Exactly. That is the sentence.”

Tereza had manners. Jonáš had a close. After the lesson Tereza wrote a question and left thanks out loud. Silence stopped scaring her when she knew silence is allowed. It is allowed because the question was not a vote count. It was a thing to take away. Even with no answer out loud.

After the question count to three in your head before you thank. Three seconds of silence are not a fall. They are space for a head in a desk.

A question as a close, not as a quiz

A good question at the end: ties to the sentence, can be answered in one sentence, does not hurt, does not eat a minute of voting, can carry silence.

Bad: who likes X, guess what I have behind my back, a question at a classmate so they are embarrassed, three questions in a row.

On the wall put either the sentence, or one question in big type, not both as a paragraph. The mouth carries the other.

“Any questions?” is a door for the teacher. It is not your close. The close is a content question. You ask so you leave the class with work. The work is using the sentence. Tomorrow. In the evening. Next time.

A question with time makes an action. An action is concrete. Concrete from the scene. Filter: say the question to a parent. If they answer off the sentence, the question flew off. Fix it.

One question. Not three on the slide. Three are a quiz. A quiz eats time. End time is a minute.

Wrong would be five quiz questions on the wall. A quiz is a different lesson. Here a presentation. A presentation ends with one close.

Even who does not answer heard the sentence dressed as a question. A decent dress. It can carry dad in the row.

A question not “why are you stupid that you wake it”. That is an insult. An insult kills the end. An invitation sounds like “what will you do tomorrow”.

Do not point at a classmate to answer when they look like they do not want to. The question is for the class, not a trap for one. A trap ends with a behaviour note, not a content one.

Survey: “what will we do with that number?” is a close, not “was it interesting?”.

You say one sentence, show proof, answer “and what if…”. If you do not know, you say I don’t know.

Write one question and carry silence

Three candidates, one action, wall the sentence, mouth the question mark, three seconds, thanks. No quiz.

Paper: three questions from the sentence. Cross out voting and an insult. Leave the one that has tomorrow or an action. Read it to a parent. If they answer off the sentence, fix it. Fix until the answer sits.
Last slide: title or heading layout. Text either the sentence, or the question, not both a paragraph. Size 36 plus, contrast. The other into notes. Notes: question / 1-2-3 / thanks. In PowerPoint almost the same: notes view.
Present (F5) on the last slide. Say the question, go quiet, count three, say thanks. If in the silence you reach for another filler sentence, hands off. Filler kills the close. Repeat twice to the wall.
Thumbnails: the last is stop. It is not in the middle. Drag. Delete a thank-you slide if it exists as a sticker with no content. Thanks out loud after three seconds.
Save. Do not point at anyone in practice. Practice is the wall and a parent who wants to. If they do not want to answer, silence still counts. That is a success.

A phrase, or a close

“Any questions?” may be a door. It must not be the only content of the end.

Replace at the end the phrase “that’s all” with a question from the sentence.
Count three seconds after the question twice to the wall, so silence does not surprise you.
Check the question does not put anyone down.
