Block is not cowardice
Block = that person cannot contact you on that network. They cannot see your profile (depending on the network). It is a tool, not an injustice.
Report = you send the network a signal: this breaks the rules. The network can limit or delete the account. It is not instant magic — but without a report the network often does not know.
The order with bullying or insults:
- Screenshot — proof for an adult
- Block — once you have proof, not earlier, if you still need to save something
- Report on the network — according to the network’s rules
- An adult — a teacher, a parent. 학교 deals with things outside school too, when it hurts in class
Block on its own does not solve everything — a classmate can reach you elsewhere. That is why an adult.
Report is not “telling on someone”. It is using a button the network gave. If someone threatens, spreads a photo without permission or insults repeatedly, report + an adult is the right path.
Where you find block and report

Instagram / TikTok / Discord / games: a profile or a message → three dots → Block / Report. 이름s differ. Look for Block, Report.

With a parent go through once on a neutral profile (for example a school or parent account), where the buttons are. So you know the path when there is a rush.

Practise: I will take a screenshot, then block, then tell a teacher. The order.
Report sometimes wants a category: bullying, spam, a fake account. Pick the closest. You do not have to write a novel.
What to say at home
To a parent:
“I know where block and report are on [network]. When something bad, first a screenshot for you, then block. Can we show it once?”
To a teacher:
“Someone is writing [X] to me. I have a screenshot. I blocked. What next at school?”
Block and report are not a tool to “punish a classmate for a joke”. They are for repeated insults, threats, spreading photos without permission. One fight about a game — another category. If you are not sure, ask an adult.
