Unsold is data. It is not shame of a team.
Planner: when it runs out. Till boss: when leftover remains. Lemonade that does not sell has cost. Profit falls. Sometimes a minus. Data. A gift to class by a teacher, or clean-up. Not a sale 1 Kč under cost as a lie, unless it is an agreed gift.
Adam: −50% on everything, so it is empty. Ema: 8 cost, 1 Kč = a minus 7 × leftover. A teacher: a gift into a staff room or a bin by hygiene. Ema takes it. Adam wanted zero cups as a win. The win was zero profit.
In advance on a sheet: what with leftover. Hygiene drinks more than profit. Necessary M.
Leftover is a line
A calendar: you cannot carry a count. Inflation: nobody wants. Pressure: 50% off from 20 to 10, cost 8, profit 2 — still OK. A discount to 1 no.
A team does not blame. A share from profit, a loss by a sheet, not a finger. Dignity of a trip till.
Ema wants to shorten it to “it will be fine somehow”. Adam asks what the lesson When goods do not sell is for, when a table can do a sum. A sum does not count respect, a PIN, a trap or an envelope. The core is: Leftover: a gift/clean-up by a sheet. A discount under cost only as a gift, not as a win of empty.
Adults pay the rent. The card, the account and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Pocket-money numbers do not belong on the network. If you break these rules in the lesson “When goods do not sell”, you know a word, not the course.
15 made, 9 sold × profit 12 = 108, 6×8 cost gone = −48, net 60. Ema counts. Adam “we lost”. 60 is not 0. Data.
Practice numbers, not a bank statement. Ema has 80 Kč in the want envelope. Adam pushes a step this lesson can name. When Ema uses the core, either it waits for a parent, or it fits the envelope. If not, anger and a hole are left — proof of pressure, not that the lesson is pointless.
Do not leave food in the sun and then sell. Hygiene. And do not carry leftover to sell at a stop with no watch.
Why this right now
You are in the course Money with Martin, level Till boss. You can write numbers in a notebook or a table, but the topic is money and decisions, not Excel formulas. The account, the card and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Do not put pocket-money numbers on the network.
This is not the Sheets with Martin course. A table may help, but the mark of success is a decision, not SUM.
You will know this lesson by one sentence: Leftover: a gift/clean-up by a sheet. A discount under cost only as a gift, not as a win of empty. When you can say it to a parent or a teacher, you have the core. The rest is practice, not magic.
A team payout needs net profit after leftovers. With no leftovers you lie a share.
If you skip this, the next lesson in level Till boss will stand on fog. 15−9 has net. A leftover rule is on a sheet. A 1 Kč sale is not a win. It is not a test for marks. It is a safety net, so “When goods do not sell” is not only a heading.
Four things you will build from the course
The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only what this lesson can do.
🪙 Pocket money
A 14-day record: income, spending, balance. What you do not write down is as if you did not spend it — and that is a lie.
Pocket money: unsold want is you at a till — Shopper regret.
🚌 Class trip
A budget, a reserve, a plan B. A shared till has rules.
A trip: a reserve ≠ a sale.
🎮 Game shop
V-bucks and a loot box are a purchase. A subscription keeps going.
A game: an unsold gem you do not handle.
🧾 Stall / mini-company
Cost, price, profit. Three numbers for the class.
A stall sheet: a leftover line.
Workshop: 15 minus 9
Count net. Write leftover onto a sheet.
-
9×12 − 6×8. Net?
-
Leftover: a gift or clean-up — a practice rule.
-
A discount to 1 Kč: a minus. A gift, or not?
-
A finger on a team member on the no.
You count with net 60. An empty table at the price of a minus is not Till boss. It is pressure on yourself.
Pocket money: Pocket money: unsold want is you at a till — Shopper regret. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
Class trip: A trip: a reserve ≠ a sale. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
Game shop: A game: an unsold gem you do not handle. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
Stall: A stall sheet: a leftover line. Do not write someone else’s amount, a PIN, an IBAN or “how much a classmate gets” next to it. A rule and a practice number are enough — or an honest zero.
What to tell a parent with no wage and no account number: “Today I went through when goods do not sell — Leftover: a gift/clean-up by a sheet. A discount under cost only as a gift, not as a win of empty.” If they have no time, a slip in the notebook is enough. Stories and class chat are not enough.
I can count leftover into net. If you cannot see this, let the next lesson wait. It is not shame. It is a hole in the chapter, not in you.
Hygiene > an empty counter. If you cannot see this, let the next lesson wait. It is not shame. It is a hole in the chapter, not in you.
A finger no. If you cannot see this, let the next lesson wait. It is not shame. It is a hole in the chapter, not in you.
Three nos here too: do not chase a ranking, do not bypass a payment lock, do not carry blame for rent. When someone hurries for a code from an SMS, those are Banker and Sceptic doors, not a workshop in a rush.
Practice: empty, or profit?
What do you want?
-
15/9, profit per piece 12, cost 8. Net?
-
A discount to 1. What does it do?
-
A finger. Why not?
-
A stop with no watch. Why not?
Now you 💪
Go through three checks. By each one, tick in your head: do I see it, or not?
- I can count leftover into net.
- Hygiene > an empty counter.
- A finger no.
If something is missing, go back to the steps above. It is not a test for marks. It is a safety net, so you go on with certainty, not with a mess.
Check: 15−9 has net. A leftover rule is on a sheet. A 1 Kč sale is not a win.
What to take from this lesson
- Leftover = a line.
- Net profit after leftovers.
- A gift by a teacher.
- Dignity of a team.
- 이름s in the examples (Ema, Adam) are made up. Do not put your number, email or photo here.
- Next lesson: When you can do this, go to the next lesson in the same level.
