Help a friend — a method

Help is not a hero in chat

A friend got a scam message. Someone wants a password from them. Or cyberbullying. Your reflex: write into the group “don’t be stupid”. That does not help. A method helps:

1. Stop them — between four eyes: “Do not click. 发送 me a screenshot. We go to an adult.”
2. Screenshot — for a parent or a teacher, not for a meme
3. An adult — their parent, your parent, a teacher — according to how serious it is

You are not IT support for the whole day. You are a bridge. If you do not know, tell a parent: a friend needs help, I do not know what next.

According to the situation

A scam (rush, a password, a code):

Do not click. Do not read a code. Screenshot. A parent or a teacher.

Cyberbullying:

Screenshot. Do not argue. Go together to a teacher. 116 111, when they are afraid.

A forgotten password:

A parent or school. Not a “reset” from a weird mail.

1. Practise a sentence for a friend with a scam.

2. Practise a sentence for a parent: Friend [name] got [X]. They have a screenshot. What should we do?

3. Write into an Adviser notebook: Help a friend = stop, screenshot, an adult.

What to say at home

To a parent:

“When a friend needs help with a scam or bullying, I will come to you. Do you know?”

To a friend:

“It is not shame. Shame is sending a password. We go to an adult.”

Practise two sentences out loud — to a friend and a parent.

Agree with a parent: when a friend in trouble arrives, what will we do? One sentence is enough.
