A password audit = a check of the vault, not an interrogation

A password audit at home is the second part of 📱 Phone audit — aimed at keys. You sit with a parent. You open the vault. You go through accounts: school, games, email. For each: strong? different from elsewhere? in the vault?

An audit is not “who was naughty”. It is a list on paper:

One change a month is enough. Everything at once = burnout.

A password that is a name + a year, or that you once sent into chat, belongs on the list change immediately. Not “after the holidays”.

What you look for

A weak password: short, about you, 123456, the same everywhere.

Missing from the vault: a password only in the head or on a scrap.

Missing 2FA: on important email or a game with purchases.

An old account: a game you no longer play — delete the account with a parent, do not leave it spinning.

Audit method

A list of accounts — you say what you use. A parent adds family ones.
The vault is open. For each: is there a record?
Mark one account for a password change this week. One for switching 2FA on.
Paper into a drawer. The audit date at the top. In three months again. Then: a new sentence into the vault, delete notes called “passwords”, remind the rule about chat.

If you find an account a parent did not know about, it is not a scene — it is a conversation.
