Play on a poster. Do not play that you are another author.
Maker may: “give 10 rhymes on the word question”, “shorten a slogan to 5 words”, “swap a cliché”. That is play. It may not: “write a composition like Roald Dahl / like me last year / like classmate Ema.” That is a cheat or theft of a voice. Play is seen on a wall as play. A hand-in that plays you are someone else is a mask from Helper. Today you practise a rhyme and a slogan for a campaign. You cross out what is mockery of a classmate. Mockery is not a joke. A joke with no victim is ok. Detective: a rhyme must not carry a fake date. A beautiful rhyme with 1621 instead of 1620 still falls. A teacher on a wall values a message you can say out loud. On a mark they value your vocabulary, even with a small slip. A slip you can fix is yours. A copy with no slip is foreign. That is why play stays on a poster and does not go into a notebook for a composition. Even when “it is only style”. Style to hand in is a voice. A voice should be yours.
Adam wants a composition “like Dahl”. Bára: will you hand that in? Adam shakes his head. He tries: “8 rhymes on the word book, polite, no names from class.” They laugh. They pick one for a poster. A second try the model rhymes mockery of a classmate. Stop, a cross-out, a new move with no names. A teacher values a rhyme on the wall as a campaign. A composition like Dahl would be awkward and a cheat. Play stayed on the wall. A mask did not go into the school portal. Adam writes a line: a wall vs. a notebook for a mark.
A ban on names from class in a rhyme. A joke with no victim. A victim is not a joke, it is a hit.
A wall may play. A mark must be your voice.
A wall (a campaign, a poster): a slogan, a rhyme, marked exaggeration. A mark (a composition, a report): your sentences, sources. A model can copy authors. A copy to hand in is a mask. A copy for reading practice — a teacher would have to say. You do not guess. A play with words today feeds a campaign “how to ask”. It does not feed a composition. Tomorrow you will delete clichés. Today chop more and pick. A storm again. A pick again. A hand again. When a friend wants “the same rhyme, so we are united”, united is a topic, not a line. The same line twenty times is a copier the next lesson deals with. Today it is enough to know that a pick from a storm is your making. A copied rhyme from a friend’s chat is no longer play. It is their pick with your name.
Honest play: “10 slogans about asking, max 5 words, in English, no names, no studies.”
A foul: “Write a composition in the style of my classmate from last year, here is her text.” “Like Dahl, I will hand it in tomorrow.”
A pick: 10 → 2 → 1 onto paper by hand.
Do not paste someone else’s composition so a model can “just soften it”. That is a trumpet with a rhyme. Still someone else’s work.
Why this right now
You are in the course Ask with Martin, level Maker. You work in a chatbot (ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude) — same game, different brand. No code. A parent or the school creates the account. A child’s email does not belong here.
This is not the Inventor level. There you build a chatbot on your own website. Here you are a user: a question, a check, a citation.
You will know this lesson by one sentence: A rhyme and a slogan on a wall. Someone else’s voice into a notebook for a mark no. When you can say it to a parent or a teacher, you have got the core. The rest is practice, not magic.
Tomorrow code does not belong — another course line. Today a voice line. Both hold Maker, so it is not Inventor nor a thief of compositions.
