People think a paraphrase is swapping three words in a paragraph from chat. That is a mask. An honest paraphrase: you read a green fact in a source, you close the source and the chat, you say the sentence out loud, only then you write. When the sentence still sounds like an encyclopaedia, once more. Detective banned made-up. Helper bans a foreign tone. A teacher hears tone. They hear words you do not say. They hear sentences without your usual slips. That is not a hunt for slips. That is a trumpet signal. Today you practise closing the window. Discomfort is proof the filter is running. The comfort of Ctrl+C turns the filter off.
Adam lets a model “rewrite this in other words” on a wiki paragraph. Another encyclopaedia tone comes out. Bára: “That is synonyms, not you.” Adam closes the laptop. He tells Bára where the Vltava flows, as in the corridor. Bára writes it down. That is a paraphrase. Short, his. A teacher would accept it. Synonyms from a model they would google. Adam is angry that it is slow. Bára: “A hand-in is slow craft. Fast is a cheat.” A closed window is a tool. It is not a punishment.
A closed-eyes rule on the screen. 20 seconds you look at the wall and say the sentence. Only then paper.
A synonym, a trumpet, a telling
A synonym: a model swaps a word, the sentence skeleton stays foreign. A trumpet: paste and “edit”. A telling: your speech, then a write-up. Helper allows chat as a check: “is the word oxygen missing in this sentence of mine? Yes/no, do not rewrite the sentence.” That is a fact coach, not a tone author. When it rewrites the whole sentence, you delete and take only yes/no. The source must stay seen. A paraphrase of made-up is made-up. Detective first. Then words. Do not reverse the order — a pretty lie is still a lie.
A four-beat how-to.
- A green fact in a source. A finger.
- 閉じる chat and the book for 20 seconds. Tell a classmate in your head.
- Write. Max two short sentences.
- Open the source. Does the meaning sit? Is the tone yours? Chat may yes/no a missing term, not a new paragraph.
Wrong: A wiki sentence → “rewrite it differently” → hand in.

Do not let it paraphrase a classmate’s whole composition. That is still their work in your notebook. Stop.

Check: Two sentences were born from the wall, not from synonyms. The tone is yours.
