When it runs out

When it runs out, you cross out. You do not borrow quietly.

A reserve, an envelope or a till can run out. The signal: stop the mood, open plan B, tell an adult. It is not shame. Shame is a quiet loan, theft from the till, or “someone must give more” with a finger on a classmate who has a different map.

Planner practises calm. Calm is a skill. Shouting “it ran out” at a station spoils the till more than zero.

Order at zero

When it runs out for you and the till lives: your W is dead, do not reach into the till. When it runs out for the till and you still have some: do not carry heroics “I will pay it from pocket money for everyone”. That is kind and dangerous. An adult.

Running out above the line (parents’ tickets) parents handle. You carry calm and the truth about your envelope. You do not carry the rent.

Amálie wants to shorten it to “it will be fine somehow”. Vojta asks what the lesson When it runs out is for, when a table can do a sum. A sum does not count respect, a PIN, a trap or an envelope.
