On one page you see all the questions at once. Like a notebook. A tick on each one, or Check all.

A notebook that tells you the truth at once

In every lesson there is a Practise the questions button. It opens a worksheet — a page full of questions, like when you have them written on paper.

At the top you choose how many you want: 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200. スタート with ten. When it goes well, add more.

Each question has a box and a tick. You count on paper, write the answer, tap the tick. Green = it matches. Red = a clue. And when you slip on a harder question, Why pops up — a short method for why it came out differently.

Sometimes you do not have to write anything. For comparing you tap a big < = >. For yes/no two buttons. For shapes a name. A Year 1 kid does not have to hunt for a sign on the keyboard.

Paper and pencil stay in your hand. The sheet only checks. Today you will learn how to use it — so from the next lesson it works without snags.

Sofie opens the sheet. She sees ten questions under each other. First: 12 + 7. She counts 19 on paper, writes 19, taps the tick. Green. “Yes!”

Filip tries too, but he does not like the first question, so he presses New questions. The whole sheet swaps. “Hey, my greens disappeared!” They did. New questions = a new sheet. Filip grins, takes a pencil and from then on he does not skip questions. He finishes ten, taps Check all and sees: eight greens, two clues. That is practice.

Do not chase green with speed. Paper, method, only then the tick. Ten slow and right is practice — ten guesses is just tapping.

A guide to the sheet, bit by bit

At the top are the blocks 10 / 20 / 50 / 100 / 200. They say how many rows you will see. The more, the longer the practice. Answers you already have written stay — when you go from ten to twenty, only new rows are added.

Next to them is Check all — it goes through all the visible questions at once. Handy when you want to count everything first and only then look at what matches.

New questions swaps the whole sheet. Use it when you have finished this one. Not when you do not like one.

On each row: the question, a box, a tick. Enter in the box = tick and jump to the next. Wrong? Red and a short hint. Tap Why when you want to see the method.

And how to answer? Numbers as normal: 19. Decimals with a point: 2.5. Fractions with a slash: 3/4. Comparing with buttons. Yes/no with buttons.

Example 1: one round from start to finish

The sheet shows: 15 + 8 = ?

Sofie first on paper. She splits eight into 5 + 3. 15 + 5 = 20, then 20 + 3 = 23.

She writes 23 in the box and taps the tick. Green. She goes to the next row.

The whole round: paper, method, answer, tick. The sheet only does that last check. The counting stayed with Sofie.

Example 2: comparing — tap the sign

The sheet shows two piles and 47 ? 74.

Method: tens first. 47 has 4, 74 has 7. Four tens are less. She taps <.

She does not have to type anything on the keyboard. Three big buttons: less, the same, more. The beak eats the smaller number.

Example 3: Why is a friend, not a punishment

Filip has 16 − 9 and from his head he shoots 8. Red. A short hint: “Not yet.”

He taps Why. He sees: split nine into 6 + 3. 16 − 6 = 10, 10 − 3 = 7. Aha — off by one, a classic.

He fixes the box to 7, tick, green. The clue stayed in the notebook. Next time he watches this spot.

Do not guess. When you tap the tick blind, the sheet will not steal the answer — but you learned nothing. One proper calculation on paper is faster than five guesses.

Practise the questions

On paper: the sheet and the notebook together

The sheet and paper are not rivals. This practice pairs them.

Open the sheet on 10 questions. Write each one in the notebook with a method first, then answer.
When you slip (and you will slip once, that is in the plan), open Why and write the clue in the notebook.
Switch to 20. New rows are added — the old answers stay. Finish them.
Tap Check all. Count the greens. That is today’s score — you only compete with yourself.
