メモs are yours. They must not be on the projector.
Order already sits. Today you hide the notebook down. メモs under the slide hold a scene, numbers to glance at and an order of sentences. The area holds an anchor.
If notes are missing, you read the wall or invent. If they are on the projector, the class reads your cheat sheet. Mode Present (F5). Not edit.
At the bottom in Slides click メモs. Write short sentences, not a textbook paragraph. On a school one-display, notes in edit, the presentation clean. Presenter view: notes on your monitor, the wall clean. That comes at Speaker. Today the field and the mode.
Into notes do not belong an email, a Wi-Fi password or names you do not want to read out loud by accident on the projector. Even a quiet field can leak with a wrong mode. A parent or the school holds the account. No child’s email on the slide or in the field at the bottom. Esc, then Present. Edit does not belong on the projector. The field at the bottom can carry a notebook. The wall an anchor.
Ema showed edit with notes on the wall. The class read “don’t forget the joke about the teacher”. Awkward. メモs should have been quiet. Adam turned on Present, the wall an anchor, notes only he. He said the scene. The class saw the anchor. The cheat sheet stayed down. In the evening Ema checked that Present is a clean wall, not edit. She deleted a joke and a Wi-Fi password she had there “just in case”. She said the field at the bottom looked harmless. Harmless is when the class cannot see. Today you practise that mode. She deleted the Wi-Fi password in notes too. Even a quiet field can leak.
Before you speak, hit Present (F5) and look at the wall. Does the class see your sentences at the bottom? If yes, you are not in the presentation. Esc and Present again.
Area an anchor, at the bottom a hint
At the bottom in Slides turn on メモs. Write two scene sentences that are not on the area. Leave the area an anchor. The bullet limit holds. Long sentences from a notebook may here. On the wall not.
Present (F5). Does the class see notes? If yes, you are not in the presentation. Esc, Present again. In PowerPoint check you are not in a view with notes for the audience.
Try saying one slide only from notes, the wall only a second on a number. That is Speaker training. Assembler gives the hint a field. Not A4 paper in the hand, which steals eyes.
Even a quiet field can leak. So here do not belong an email, a password, or a joke that puts a teacher down, if it stayed on the wall by accident. On a school one-display first Esc, then Present. Edit does not belong on the projector. Try saying a slide from notes. The wall only on a number.
Wrong: on the area a paragraph and at the bottom nothing. Or on the area an anchor and on the wall notes too, because you showed edit. The class reads a cheat sheet.
Right: Adam. On the wall “Wagons held better than a wall.” At the bottom two sentences how he will explain it. Present shows a clean wall. Ema after the fix the same and deleted a joke about the teacher.
An example from a report: the number 12 km on the wall. In notes “odometer, the road to grandma, 8 May.” The wall an anchor. At the bottom where from. The mouth a story. A4 paper in the hand today no. The field at the bottom can carry a notebook.
Into notes do not belong an email, a Wi-Fi password or names you do not want to read out loud by accident on the projector. Even a quiet field can leak with a wrong mode.
Four things you will build in this course
The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only this:
🎯 A hobby in 5 slides
Five slides about something you like doing. One sentence about what it is. No paragraphs from your notebook.
Hobby: on the wall a scene, at the bottom an order of sentences you will say.
📚 A report
Eight slides for school: a start, three proofs, an end. The title on every slide is a sentence, not “Slide 3”.
Report: a notebook into notes, on the wall an anchor.
📊 Survey results
A chart from a table (not a screenshot from chat) and under it where the numbers come from.
Survey: how you asked is at the bottom, on the wall a number.
⚖️ A defence
You say one sentence, show proof, answer “and what if…”. If you do not know, you say I don’t know.
Defence: write an objection down, so you do not read it from the wall like cheats.
Write a hint down, leave the wall clean
You turn on メモs. Two scene sentences. Then Present. The class (or a parent at the door) must not see the field at the bottom.
-
Open a slide with an anchor. At the bottom turn on メモs. Write two scene sentences that are not on the area. Leave the area an anchor. The bullet limit holds. A parent’s or the school’s account.
-
Present (F5). Does a parent from the door see your notes? If yes, you are not in the presentation. Esc, Present again. The wall must be a clean anchor.
-
In PowerPoint almost the same: View → メモs, write down, then Present, not a view with notes for the audience. Try saying one slide only from notes, the wall only a second on a number.
-
Go through notes. Delete an email, a password, a joke about the teacher, names you do not want to read out loud. Click a picture, open Alt text, delete IMG_. Write what is in the picture and why it is there. One sentence. A parent’s account. Even a quiet field can leak. Drive watches saving.
-
The workshop ends when Present (F5) shows a clean wall and you have at the bottom two sentences you can speak from. A4 paper in the hand today no. The field at the bottom yes.
A cheat sheet on the wall
If you show edit, the class reads notes. That is a wrong mode. The right one is Present.
-
Write under one slide two scene sentences.
-
Present (F5): a parent from the door cannot see the field at the bottom.
-
Delete from notes an email, a password and a joke that would be awkward if it stayed on the projector.
Now you 💪
- Under at least two slides I have short notes.
- Present shows a clean wall, not edit with a field at the bottom.
- In notes there is no email, password or a hurting joke.
Done when: The hint is at the bottom. The wall is an anchor. The class cannot see notes.
What to take from this lesson
- メモs are for you, the class cannot see them in the presentation.
- Area an anchor, at the bottom a scene and numbers.
- Present (F5), not edit on the projector.
- Not A4 in the hand when you have a field at the bottom.
- Into notes do not belong an email and a password.
- 名前s in the examples (Ema, Adam) are made up. Do not put your number, email or photo on a slide.
