1. Speech is not reading slides On the slide a short sentence. Your mouth says what is not on the slide. ⏱ 16 minutes
2. A stopwatch: 3 minutes Three minutes are a ceiling. When you overrun, delete a word or a slide, do not speed up. ⏱ 16 minutes
3. Stance, hands, eyes Face to the class. Hands out of pockets. Eyes not at the screen the whole time. ⏱ 16 minutes
4. Volume for the class The back row must hear without a shout. A whisper into a laptop is not enough. ⏱ 16 minutes
5. A freeze: water, a breath, the next sentence A freeze is not the end. A breath, water, the next sentence. Not a minute of apology. ⏱ 16 minutes
6. A remote / the space bar The space bar or a clicker. Not a run to the mouse with your back to the class. ⏱ 16 minutes
7. メモs, not A4 paper A4 at your face steals the class’s eyes. メモs under the slide, or a small scrap with a sentence. ⏱ 16 minutes
8. Questions from the audience Repeat the question, answer short and on topic. I don’t know may. It is not a fight. ⏱ 16 minutes
9. When IT fails: a PDF and a sentence with no slides The projector dies. You do not. A PDF as backup and one sentence in your mouth. ⏱ 16 minutes
10. Project: 3 minutes out loud The whole in one go: no reading, facing, a stopwatch, plan B. Two Present, the second counts. ⏱ 22 minutes
11. A recording for yourself (not on the network) Record the speech only for yourself. Delete after listening. It does not belong on the network. ⏱ 16 minutes
12. Speaker finale Three minutes facing, no reading, plan B. Voice carries one sentence what it is about. ⏱ 20 minutes
