A handoff is a bridge. The class should know who speaks before the second opens their mouth.
When you mumble now you and both go silent, a hole is born. The stopwatch runs. The sentence hangs. A bridge is a short sentence with a name: Filip will show the rampart proof. Filip picks up at once. Sofie waits facing. You do not talk over each other. You do not shove a laptop like a microphone. A back to the class at a handoff holds the same ban as at Speaker. Space bar with a thumb. Handoff max five seconds. Longer is a hole. Write the bridge sentence into notes of the slide where the voice cuts. Practice out loud. Respect even between you: do not hand over with an insult at least he can do it. The class hears the bridge between you. A parent’s account. No emails. Today bridges at every cut. Tomorrow the whole in one go. With no bridges the whole falls right here. A parent holds the account. There are no emails in notes. Today bridges at every cut. Tomorrow the whole in one go. With no bridges the whole falls right here.
Klára and Marek mumbled now you. Both went silent. A hole. Time. Nothing. Then they wrote into notes: Marek, that number is yours. Marek proof at once. Klára waited facing. The class heard flow. Two voices one after the other, not over each other. A parent measured the handoff: five seconds. Klára said a bridge with a name. Marek the number at once. They did not shove a laptop. Facing the door. Who was not speaking was not on a phone. They listened so they can pick up. A bridge in notes is not enough until it falls out loud. The class must hear a name before the second opens their mouth.
A bridge = a name + what we will hear. Not now you. Not a nod to the mouse.
A name, a sentence, pick up at once
At every slide where the speaker changes, open メモs. Write a bridge sentence with a name. Click Present (F5). Say the bridge. The second picks up at once with the slide sentence. No um. Facing the door. The space bar. In PowerPoint the same in presenter notes. Ban a back. Ban shoving a laptop. Stopwatch: handoff max five seconds. Longer shorten. Filter: a bridge is not a joke about a classmate. The class hears the team. Practice of all cuts, not only the first. Who is not speaking stands and listens. They are not on a phone in a corner. That is a run-through that comes. Today bricks of a bridge. Without them the whole will not be. A parent’s account. Do not put a team recording on the network. Practice of all cuts, not only the first. Filter: a bridge is not a joke about a classmate. The class hears the bridge between you. Ban a back. Ban shoving a laptop. Space bar with a thumb.
Wrong: now you, silence, both look at the mouse, the class loses the sentence.
Right: Filip will show the rampart proof. Filip the number at once. Sofie waits facing.
Five seconds. A name. A sentence. Full stop. Then the second voice. Find a cut with no sentence in notes and add it. When after a bridge silence follows, the bridge was not said, only written. Say it out loud. Pick up at once. No um now you. A bridge out loud, pick up at once, under five seconds. Facing. No um now you. Do not shove a laptop.
Do not hand over with an insult. The class hears the bridge between you too. Respect in a team is heard out.
Four things you will build in this course
The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only this:
🎯 A hobby in 5 slides
Five slides about something you like doing. One sentence about what it is. No paragraphs from your notebook.
Hobby: a bridge to a scene, so it is clear who tells the story.
📚 A report
Eight slides for school: a start, three proofs, an end. The title on every slide is a sentence, not “Slide 3”.
Report: at every proof a name who says it.
📊 Survey results
A chart from a table (not a screenshot from chat) and under it where the numbers come from.
Survey: a bridge to the chart. The number is said by who can explain it.
⚖️ A defence
You say one sentence, show proof, answer “and what if…”. If you do not know, you say I don’t know.
Defence: a bridge to an objection. It must not sound like a fight inside the team.
A bridge in notes and out loud
Every cut has a sentence. Then Present (F5) only cuts.
-
At every slide where the voice changes, into メモs write: a name + a bridge sentence. In PowerPoint View → メモs.
-
Present (F5). Say the bridge. The second picks up at once. Facing. The space bar. No um.
-
Stopwatch on the handoff. Over five seconds shorten the bridge. Do not shove a laptop.
-
Ban a back to the class. Mouse pushed away. Thumb on the space. Repeat all cuts, not one.
-
Saved on Drive. No team recording on the network. There are no emails in notes.
A hole, or a bridge
When after a bridge silence follows, the bridge was not said, only written.
-
Find a cut with no sentence in notes and add it.
-
Measure the handoff. Goal under five seconds.
-
Say a bridge with no insult and with no now you.
Now you 💪
- At every cut there is in notes a sentence with a name.
- A handoff is under five seconds, facing.
- We do not shove a laptop and we do not talk over each other.
Done when: You can say every cut as a bridge: a name, a sentence, the second picks up at once.
What to take from this lesson
- A bridge = a name + a sentence.
- Max five seconds.
- Facing. The space bar. Not a back.
- Do not talk over. Do not shove a laptop.
- The whole class hears respect of a bridge.
- 名前s in the examples (Klára, Marek) are made up. Do not put your number, email or photo on a slide.
