It is not a game about “riches”

The course teaches a decision, not a ranking of who has more. Riches are not a quest.

This is not a game about riches

Adverts promise that you will buy cleverly and “win at life”. An influencer shows a pile of boxes. A game gives a millionaire badge. The course does not take that. Success here is not a bigger number in your pocket than a neighbour has. Success is a decision you can stand by and that does not wreck the family or a friend.

If you take from the course “how to get rich by fifteen”, you took the wrong subject. Take this: I can say no, I can write spending down, I can not let myself be tricked. That is enough. That is more than a badge.

Jakub counts who in class has a dearer phone. He makes a ranking. Tereza is at the bottom, because she has an older one. Jakub thinks he won the course. He did not. He made a contest out of things he did not pay for.

Tereza spends 30 Kč on a snack and 0 on a skin. She has calm. Jakub spends 200 on a mood and then wants to borrow for a trip. Jakub’s number in the pocket was bigger on Friday. On Tuesday it is smaller and he still owes. Friday’s ranking lied. Friday’s decision still holds.

💡

When you hear “invest and you will be miễn phí”, “only now”, “like me at fifteen”, that is a story for sale. You collect decisions, not fans. Đóng the story. Do not put a pocket-money number on the network — a ranking would be made from it at once.

A ranking spoils the eyes

Riches in an advert look like a pile. In a family they look like rent paid, food and calm. You do not pay the rent. You train pocket money. Comparing training with someone else’s pile is like comparing prep with a final someone else is playing.

The course has four projects. None of them is “build a firm and buy a house”. Pocket money, a trip, a game shop, a stall. Small agreements. Small numbers. Big honesty. Who promises a miracle from small numbers is selling you a mood.

Envy is expensive. It costs attention and then often pocket money too (“so I have it as well”). Mockery is expensive too — the one you laugh at pays, and the class pays, because it turns into a ranking. Rule: we do not talk about other people’s money as a score.

When you have more, you are not better. When you have less, you are not worse. When you can say “I will not buy this”, you are further than the one who bought everything and now has nothing for the trip. That is not a moral fairy tale. That is arithmetic of the balance, which comes in Cashier.

Tereza has 80 Kč. The trip will want 50 for a snack from the till. She buys a sticker for 40. 40 is left. That is not enough for the trip snack. “But I was happy on Friday” does not pay Tuesday. Happiness from a mood is fine when you know Tuesday will hurt. She did not know. That is this lesson.

Jakub wants to film a “pocket-money haul”. A parent says no. Not because Jakub is small. Because a haul is a ranking on camera. The course does not do rankings on camera.

⚠️

Do not promise classmates you will “teach them to get rich”. Do not promise it to yourself either. Who promises that on chat often wants your number, a code or pocket money. Stop. A parent. No secret investors’ club in year three.

Why this right now

You are in the course Money with Martin, level Chuẩn bị. You can write numbers in a notebook or a table, but the topic is money and decisions, not Excel formulas. The account, the card and the PIN belong to a parent. A child’s email does not belong here. Do not put pocket-money numbers on the network.

This is not the Sheets with Martin course. A table may help, but the mark of success is a decision, not SUM.

You will know this lesson by one sentence: Success in the course is a decision, not a ranking of who has more. When you can say it to a parent or a teacher, you have the core. The rest is practice, not magic.

Without this brake, income, a discount and a stall would look like a path to a pile. With the brake they stay what they are: training for the head. The family pays the rent. You learn not to hurt the till or a friend.

Four things you will build from the course

The course has four small projects. You do not have to do them all at once. Today you add only what this lesson can do.

🪙 Pocket money

A 14-day record: income, spending, balance. What you do not write down is as if you did not spend it — and that is a lie.

A pocket-money notebook is not a ranking for the class. It is memory for you and a parent.

🚌 Class trip

A budget, a reserve, a plan B. A shared till has rules.

A trip: who has less for a souvenir is not a loser. The plan has to hold that.

🎮 Game shop

V-bucks and a loot box are a purchase. A subscription keeps going.

A game haul and “flex” of skins is a ranking. The course does not run it.

🧾 Stall / mini-company

Cost, price, profit. Three numbers for the class.

Stall profit is not used to mock who “sold less”.

Workshop: cross out the ranking

You will write two sentences that break a ranking. You do not share numbers.

  1. Write one thing you did not buy and you are fine with that. That is a decision. Not a “loss”.

  2. Write one sentence you will say when someone starts comparing phones or pocket money. For example: “I don’t do that.”

  3. Cross out the word win by a purchase in your head. Replace it: “it fits / it does not fit my tokens.”

  4. Tell a parent the course is not about riches. So they know you are not asking for an investment in your “firm” from an advert.

You count when you can not-buy without feeling you lost. If you still count who has a dearer backpack, the ranking is still running. Switch it off like a game that eats your time.

Practice: a pile, or a head?

Spot a ranking. Cut it off.

  1. Why is “I have more than you” not a success of this lesson?

  2. Jakub films a pocket-money haul. What is wrong on camera, even if the numbers were “true”?

  3. Tereza has fewer coins and more calm. Which metric belongs here?

  4. A classmate: “When you are smarter, you will be rich.” What do you answer without mockery?

Now you 💪

Go through three checks. By each one, tick in your head: do I see it, or not?

  1. I know the course is not a hunt for riches.
  2. I do not build a ranking from pocket money or phones.
  3. I can not-buy without a feeling of losing.

If something is missing, go back to the steps above. It is not a test for marks. It is a safety net, so you go on with certainty, not with a mess.

Check: You have a sentence against comparing and one thing you did not buy on purpose.
